Finely grind cannabis flower. It’s important to grind as finely as possible. We recommend using a fine mesh kitchen strainer. Hold the bud with your hand and rub vigorously over the strainer, catching powder in a bowl below. Measure after grinding.
In a dry medium non-stick saute pan, at medium high heat, toast sunflower seeds until golden brown, stirring frequently, for approximately 5- 6 minutes
Remove from heat and immediately stir in finely ground cannabis. Stir for 30 – 60 seconds.
When cannabis becomes aromatic and wisps of smoke arise, add honey, stir well to fully coat the seeds and to evenly distribute the cannabis.
Return to heat and cook, stirring frequently, until honey thickens and begins to caramelize, approximately 3-4 minutes.
Press into silicone molds or ice cube tray, distributing evenly for 16 doses. Sprinkle with salt. Cool, then wrap individually in waxed paper (Bars may stick to plastic wrap)
With any cannabis edible, it’s important to learn what dosage works for you, as different strains have different levels of THC. This recipe is based on marijuana with an approximate THC level of 20%. Please eat a half dose for your first to test your tolerance!
We recommend starting with 1/4 to 1/2 of a serving to see how it affects you. Increase dosage from there.
